The 90’s were my favorite time in music. Rap was still pretty much young and you had a lot of amazing acts delivering incredible music. One of my biggest pleasures then were mixtapes. Back then they were still on cassettes and cost ten dollars. If you lived in New York in that time then you could definitely relate.

In my humble opinion, DJ Doo Wop ruled the mixtape game in the early 90’s. His Spring Part 1 tape is defines what this era is all about.
Doo Wop’s signature were his infamous Bounce Squad intro’s and the one on here is one of his best with a show stealing verse by Sadat X. The rest of the tape is classic; check the track listing:
