If you would like to know what life was like centuries ago, you should visit Mdina.  The medieval town of Mdina is still much like it was during medieval times and is a fantastic destination for history buffs.  Just to give you an idea of how undeveloped the area is, most of the area is still lighted by lamps during the night.

Much like Mdina, the capital of Malta looks much like it did when it was constructed in 1566.  The city is just one kilometer but has some amazing architecture.  Some of sights to see in Valletta include the National Museum of Archaeology, the National War Museum, and St. John’s Co-Cathedral.
