There are some moments that will stay with you for a lifetime. I can say with confidence my trip with Crown Royal to the Crown Royal Brickyard 400 race at the Indianapolis Motor Raceway was indeed one of them.
After a great kickoff and even more phenomenal second day, our third day of the Crown Royal “Capture The Crown” expedition was something to behold. The scavenger hunt concluded with Team Joe coming in first place. While we didn’t win the iPad prizes, I can say with confidence that the “Capture The Crown” was one of the bigger highlights of the weekend.
Our second portion of the day was being hosted in the Pagoda Terrace VIP suite. Here were were treated to a breathtaking view of the famed raceway.
Of course Crown Royal cocktails were flowing making the experience complete. While the selections were all very flavorful I stuck with my trusty The King’s Tea drink.
The King’s Tea:
- Crown Royal Deluxe
- Sweet Tea
- Pineapple Juice
- Orange Juice
Combine Crown Royal Deluxe, juices, lemonade and tea in shaker. Add ice. Shake well. Strain into highball glass. Garnish with mint sprigs.
From there we all got the opportunity to visit the pits where the NASCAR teams prepped the vehicles.
To see how efficient the track crew had to be to give their driver a winning chance made me appreciate the sport even more.
Once we neared the commencement of the race we made are way upstairs back to the suite.
Jeff Kyle was also in the house. He was a pleasure to hang with as he remained humble and very approachable throughout the entire weekend.
Hearing the announcers say “start your engines” gave me goosebumps.
In the house was famed Washington Redskins coach Joe Gibbs.
At the end Kyle Busch cleared the checkered flag in style. The Crown Royal Pagoda Suite afforded our group a great view of the post race action. We were so close Kyle even waved to our crew.
Overall our trip with Crown Royal was a first class operation from start to finish. We want to sincerely thank the Crown Royal brand team and the crew at Taylor Agency for extending the throne to us. Until next year. Cheers!
