adidas PulseBoost HD Sneaker Review
Staying active requires two things; the proper mindset and tools. adidas put both to use when developing their new PulseBoost HD running sneaker.
adidas provided us a pair of their highly anticipated model. While we were appreciative of the gesture we were initially skeptical if the German brand could improve upon their already highly acclaimed and game changing Boost technology. This new model does that and a little more.
Intended as a shoe for urban runners, the PulseBoost HD has some noticeable differences upon unboxing. The Boost mid sole sits even lower to the ground. Additionally the out sole features a brand new Continental™ Adaptive Traxion rubber (think tire material). I found that these innovations provided added stability and shock absorption.
Additionally the Adapt Knit found on the upper panel stays true to its name. It not only formed exactly to the shape of my foot but it also stretched with every move. I suggest that you order a size up from your normal fit as the Adapt Knit does form to the foot like a glove leaving little room to wear socks.
I put the PulseBoost to the test with several runs throughout the streets of New York City. On my first try I noticed more support compared to when I wear my regular UltraBoost trainers. Furthermore the build out offered better performance for all the stops and starts that come with running in such a busy town. I also found that the HD’s performed just as good on a track (the rubber out sole was clutch). I also took these shoes to the gym and these sneakers reduced the pain I usually get in my shins when running on a treadmill.
Overall the adidas PulseBoost HD is an amazing shoe that will make you fall in love again with running. I found true value in the confidence this shoe gave me as I was able to hit my strides earlier and with more focus. I am hooked.
