Becker Estate Pinot Noir 2008 Wine Review
Type: White wine
Color: Garnet Red
Grapes: Pinot Noir
Country: Germany (Pfalz Region)
Friedrich Becker Estate Pinot Noir 2008 is a fruity and elegant Pinot that is grown the southern Pfalz region just north of Alsace, around the German-French border on limestone soil perfectly suited to Pinot.
On the nose I got a smokey fruit aroma that intrigued me right away. What I liked about this wine most was its’ juicy profile and silky texture. This is not a ‘big’ or complex wine, but more of a classic Pinot with nice balance and a semi dry finish. I paired this 2008 with a hearty piece of grilled tuna steak and it was a marriage made in holy gastronomy.
Currently loving French Pinot Noir, I must check this out.
Holy gastronomy lol
Simply delicious!
