Chateau La Paws Pinot Noir Wine Review
Type: Red Wine
Color: Purple Ruby
Grapes: 87% Pinot Noir 13% Syrah
Country: United States (California)
Product with purpose always intrigues us. When we were introduced to Chateau La Paws, our staff was immediately excited. The vineyard supports no kill shelters and makes great wine.
The La Paws Pinot is a blend that incorporates a bit of Syrah which gives this bottle a rich difference amongst other Pinots in this category.
On the nose we spotted an unmistakable spell of dark currant and berries. It was unique as we were all on the same page regarding the aroma during the tasting; which is a first for us.
The flavor profile also had a noticeable point of difference as we were greeted with a delicious offering of dark fruit with underlying hints of chocolate.
While this wine isn’t overly complex in body and texture, it is a straight forward wine that will win you over with flavor. We paired it with grilled lamb chops and spinach and it was a marriage made in the kitchen.
Overall La Paws Pinot Noir is a steal at this price point and the monies go to a great cause to give stray animals another chance. Cheers!
