The Drew Estate company is famously known for their flavor infused Acids smokes. Many seasoned smokers look down upon the Acids because of their fruity profile.
The Liga Privada No. 9 is quite the opposite. In Spanish, Liga Privada means private blend. This line was made specifically for Drew Estate president Steve Saka.
All No. 9’s are aged for a year before being released for sale. Needless to say, I was very excited once I was able to track down this Corona Doble.
At first inspection this is a great looking cigar. The wrapper is a nice maduro Connecticut broadleaf. It is firm to the touch from foot to head. There are one or two noticeable veins but in no way do they ugly the cigar.
The Liga Privada No. 9 has been touted as a full-bodied smoke, but I’m still getting a nice full medium profile which I am not mad at. Additionally the ash is holding up well.
