When I started to throw around the idea of doing my own site I always envisioned some sort of music section to www.flawlesscrowns.com; hence the Classics. Each entry into this section is a piece of audio that I always treasured. My first two entries were long-lost Nas Mixtapes that I had been looking for some time.

This month it is only fitting I keep the lost and found theme going. Right before t Jay-Z’s Fade To Black in 2004, Cornerstone Marketing released a phenomenal Mark Ronson mixtape to commemorate the release of the movie. I remember playing this CD non stop at the job. So much that my CD became scratched up beyond repair.

Through a stroke of good luck I was able to track this down. While I am not a fan of “Best Of” style mixtapes, this is very well done with no filler. Mark transitions well between each record, and throws in some slick blends in. Most importantly to me, he doesn’t utter one word throughout the entire mix.
