Dom Perignon Vintage 1996 Champagne Review
Saying that I love champagne is a severe understatement. I have been a champagne lover for about the last ten years with many corks and pictures to prove it. In my opinion Dom Perignon is the undisputed king of champagnes. The Dom Perignon brand has been often imitated but never duplicated. Even during the height of Louis Roederer Cristal frenzy, I was still a huge advocate of Dom Perignon and I still am to this day.
If we are talking my favorite champagne of all time, then it has to be the Dom Perignon Vintage 1996. What an impressive bottle! I have never tasted such a crisp but rich champagne in my life. After every sip, the taste would remain on my palette like it never left, which is a true indication of superior champagne. This vintage received a 98 rating out of a 100 in Wine Advocate.
If you need to pull a bottle for a very special moment, I suggest trying to find a bottle of the Vintage 1996. Your bottle comes in the classic gift box with a pamphlet discussing the Dom brand, the vineyard from 1996 used in this selection and more. Granted this vintage is very rare now, but if you do happen to find it you won’t be disappointed! Prices range anywhere from 300.00 to 500.00 dollars a bottle. Cheers!
my absolute favorite!
I can’t agree more! I was lucky enough to enjoy a bottle w/ the love of my life on one of my birthdays. It was the best champagne I’ve ever had and the gift box was very elegant. I must say it was a memorable day 😉
Gett’em Drunk off the Dom Perignon, and i’m gone!!!! (in my B.I.G voice…. )
Lets me ask u guys something….Ive been sitting on a bottle of vintage Dom 1986….can I get some clarity on that year!
Thanks
Attention-grabbing Feature. I believe you always receive that which you pay for. Higher priced objects or perhaps services most of the time turn out more trusted, also come in far better quality of components and support services and therefore are frequently truly worth the money. Needless to say that is not a rule. I believe I prefer the very best in luxury goods and services.
I have a bottle of 1996 for sale no reasonable offer refused
I have 6-8 Bottles left of the 1996 Vintage in original sealed boxes – Bought a case way back when and have to say it is the best!
I just found your review of the 1996. It’s now 2016. Do you think it is still drinkable? It’s been stored correctly. I just don’t want to take it to the party and look like a doofus. Any input is totally appreciated.
I have one bottle. Is it still drinkable ?
