This cocktail is composed of whiskey, sweet vermouth, and campari. Its creation is ascribed to Erskine Gwynne, an American-born writer who founded a monthly magazine in Paris called Boulevardier, which appeared from 1927 to 1932. Here is how to make it.
Boulevardier
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 oz. bourbon or rye whiskey
- 3/4 oz. Campari
- 3/4 oz. sweet vermouth
Instructions:
- Stir ingredients with ice in a mixing glass until chilled.
- Strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with an orange twist.
