Huawei MateBook Fold Tablet

Huawei has launched the world’s first foldable PC – the Huawei MateBook Fold Tablet is the first foldable release in the notebook category featuring a high-quality pixel resolution.

The entire device is 1.16kg and 7.3mm thick when fully opened. Huawei has used the world’s first dual-layer OLED screen with 1600 nits HDR peak brightness. It is claimed to be the first commercial LTPO technology in the computer industry with adaptive refresh rate and the lowest energy consumption with on-board optimizations. When folded, the Huawei MateBook Fold Tablet provides a 3:2 screen ratio when folded and a 4:3 ratio with full unfold. The screen measures 18 inches with 3.3k resolution, HDR vivid, support for P3 wide color gamut, and 2000000:1 HDR mode.
This massive device requires a powerful hinge, and Huawei has equipped one, measuring 285mm, the industry’s largest. It brings a 400% increase in hovering torque and a 100% increase in load-bearing capacity. The hinge is designed with a three-stage shaft for a smooth opening and closing sequence.

The rear side of the MateBook Fold has leather and metal material for a premium look and making it stain and water-resistant. The back side also has an integrated stand that opens and closes smoothly.
The foldable PC equips HarmonyOS and is fully supported by the Huawei ecosystem, as well as HarmonyOS development tools for developers. The company will ship this device with WPS Office solutions and many smart device features that are shared with smartphones, tablets, and other Huawei devices. With its distributed soft bus full scenario interconnection, the MateBook Fold provides up to 160MB/s and more than 4 times of connection stability with other devices.
