Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey Whiskey Review
Type: Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Color: Amber Yellow
Country: United States (Tennessee)
Jack Daniel’s Honey is still relatively new and continues to fly under the radar. While admittedly I was never a big fan of JD, I finally had the chance to try this flavored whiskey and I was blown away on how delicious it was.
Jack Daniel’s Honey is exactly what it sounds like – their classic bourbon whiskey recipe mixed with notes of honey. The color is a deep orange yellow and upon pouring the texture is a thick and syrupy. On the nose I got met with an expected sweetness and a surprise of spice.
I was instantly impressed how smooth it was from start to finish as there is no alcohol burn whatsoever. The honey flavor is quite present but doesn’t overpower the whiskey profile – an exact marriage. Another highlight was how it doesn’t leave any sugary residue on your palette. At room temperature the finish was clean and really left me wanting more.
At a very reasonable price point I think Jack Daniel’s Honey is a steal. Feel free to add it to your wing and rib recipes as well. I suggest you pick it up ASAP. Cheers!
Some think it’s too sweet but i think its smooth and great tasting
I was looking at it on the shelf for a few minutes the last time I was at the liquor store, but decided to stick with my typical summertime choice (Ciroc). However, I will definitely pick it up when it starts getting chilly out, if it’s not too late by then. Hope they’re not limited time.
I think you would like it Manny. It’s super smooth and surprisingly doesn’t overpower you with sweetness. Let me know if you try pana!
