Jaume Serra Cristalino Brut Cava Review
Type: Cava (Sparkling Wine)
Color: White
Grapes: Parellada, Chardonnay
Country: Spain (Penedés)
For years I have been a fan of Jaume Serra Cristalino Brut Cava. When I first started enjoying this bottle it adorned a gold label and I was surprised it recently had a makeover. Nevertheless the look, this is one of the wine world’s best kept secrets.
On the nose I got a very interesting bouquet of cheese and roasted nuts. This is a very lively sparkler that is so crisp with a nice sweet profile.
Definitely well balanced, Jaume Serra Cristalino Brut Cava is impressive as a stand alone but also very refreshing when used for mimosas.
While the Summer is the ideal season for Cava, I strongly believe in this wine and would suggest it to anyone looking for an economically priced sparkling wine.
Try pairing it with some ham (especially Serrano), salads, shellfish and one of my favorites to enjoy with this bottle Pecorino Romano cheese. Cheers!
I will definitely try and love the price
Just served some of this at my BDay dinner. Love it.
