Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost And Rare Port Ellen Whisky
Johnnie Walker Whisky has introduced their second edition in a series of special releases created by Johnnie Walker Master Blender Dr. Jim Beveridge. Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost And Rare Port Ellen is a special whisky that should not be missed.
At the heart of the second edition lies the highly sought-after whisky from the famed Island distillery of Port Ellen which closed its doors in 1983. This selection is a single malt from the famed Port Ellen distillery. For this special release, Port Ellen is balanced with two additional ghost whiskies from Caledonian and Carsebridge and blended with five other exceptionally rare expressions of malt whiskies from the great distilleries of Mortlach, Dailuaine, Cragganmore, Blair Athol and Oban.
The team at Johnnie Walker was kind enough to send us a sample kit. We found the Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost And Rare Port Ellen Whisky to be a delicate but complex selection that will impress whisky lovers. The nose was of rich fruit with underlying layers of smokiness. On the tongue we got soft hints of apple with a pleasant but long finish of oak, spice and lingering dark fruit.
The Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost And Rare Port Ellen Whisky is impressive to say the least. We highly suggest this bottle for your next special celebration. And of course, please enjoy neat.
