New Year’s Eve Cocktail Recipes

Moët & Chandon Impérial Brut Champagne Pear Cocktail
- Moët Chandon Impérial Brut Champagne
- ¾ cup honey
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 large chunk of ginger, peeled and diced
- 15 fresh sage leaves + additional for garnish
- 1 vanilla bean split
- 3 medium ripe pears, peeled, pitted, and quartered
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- ½ cup water
- 5-8 sage leaves
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
Directions: In a saucepan combine the honey and water over medium heat and bring to a light boil. Turn the heat down to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the honey has dissolved. Add the ginger, vanilla bean, and sage leaves. Simmer until, stirring occasionally, until the mixture has reduced by 1/3, about 15-20 minutes. Remove from heat, remain covered to allow the mixture steep further as it cools. Strain the syrup into a large mason jar. Discard the ginger and sage leaves.
Combine the pears, lemon juice, 1/2 cup water, sage leaves, and cinnamon in a blender. Blend until smooth. 1 oz (2 Tablespoons) simple syrup, 1 oz (2 Tablespoons) pear puree, Add the champagne, stir and enjoy.
Don Q Rum Don After Dark Cocktail
- 2 oz Don Q Añejo Rum
- ¾ oz Oloroso sherry
- ½ oz Domaine de Canton ginger liqueur
- 2 dashes Chocolate bitters
- 1½ oz Flamed orange peel
Directions: Mix all liquid ingredients, then fill with ice and stir. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with a flamed orange peel. To do this, use a peel with as little pith (the white part) as possible. Heat the peel under the flame and squeeze the oils out over the glass. Rim the glass with peel.
E&J Brandy Ritz & Glitz
- 1.5 oz. E&J Brandy VSOP
- ½ oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
- Top With Prosecco (LaMarca)
- Garnish With Lemon Peel
Directions: Combine brandy and fresh lemon juice into a champagne flute or highball glass, top with champagne and stir lightly. Garnish with a lemon peel.
Veuve Clicquot Champagne Classic Cocktail
- Veuve Clicquot Brut Champagne
- 1 sugar cube
- 2-3 dashes Angostura bitters
- Lemon twist
Directions: Place a sugar cube in a chilled champagne flute, lash it with 2 or 3 dashes of bitters, and fill the glass with brut champagne. Squeeze a lemon twist on top, then use as garnish.
Courvoisier® VSOP Sparkling Cognac
- Small brown sugar cube
- Couple of dashes of Angostura® Bitters
- 2.5 parts Courvoisier® VSOP
- Champagne
Directions: Put the brown sugar in a chilled Coupette glass. Cover the sugar with a couple dashes of Angostura® Bitters. Add the Courvoisier® VSOP. Top-up with chilled champagne.
