Penfolds 65F By NIGO 2021 Wine
One of the most popular wine brands has announced a new limited edition release. Penfolds 65F By NIGO is inspired by the iconic red and white chimney which has towered over the Magill Estate winery for almost 100 years.
Penfolds archival material inspired NIGO’s inclusions in the gift box and wine label. Penfolds 65F By NIGO features a chalkboard wine tag with a chalk pencil nods to those used in the original Magill Estate winery. The label draws from pressed bottle designs of the 1930s-50s, while the tissue paper adapts an early 20th-century Penfolds logo. A chimney smoke wine stopper playfully references the Magill Estate chimney’s original purpose.
Matured in 100% French oak barriques, the 2021 vintage featured in this limited-edition release celebrates Penfolds time-honoured tradition of blending Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. Sourced from prized vineyards across South Australia, the multi-regional blend is a testament to the winemaking team’s mindfully considered and craft-led approach to block selection, regional assemblage and oak assortment.
