The Quesada family has a long rich history in the cigar world for making quality sticks including Fonseca. I was lucky enough to get my hands on a Quesada Tributo Manolin.

At a very thick 60 ring gauge and and 6 1/2 inch length, the Manolin is formidable to say the least. Large size aside this is an impressive looking cigar.

 

The Quesada Tributo Manolin features a very rich chocolate brown wrapper that has a deliciously oily sheen. It is flawlessly rolled as the seams are airtight. There are some veins present but they live deep within the wrapper and actually gives the cigar some character. Finally the cigar is packed very well at it is firm to the touch from head to foot.

Upon toasting the foot I could tell I was in for a long deep smoke. I got a good shot of ligero spice on top of some earthy flavors. The V cut used made the draw wide open for me.

Fifteen minutes or so into this cigar, the dark grey ash is holding on very steady. The burn line started of a little wavy but has evened out. The taste has remained consistent with the previous flavors of spice, wood, earth apparent and and now some flashes of cocoa.
