I really have an affinity for Rocky Patel smokes. Their cigars are very much premium but are priced very consumer friendly. I’ve come to really favor the Rocky Patel Connecticut, and The Decade. A while ago someone gifted me the Rocky Patel Autumn Collection 2009 Robusto. For some reason I always passed by it when I would reach into my humidor. After six months of aging I smoked it earlier this week and I found it to be a very fine cigar.
The construction on this cigar is great. It is tightly packed and is firm from head to foot. After clipping it I got right to it and light this cigar up. I was pleasantly surprised with a perfect draw that wasn’t too open or too tight. The Rocky Patel Autumn Collection 2009 Robusto greeted me with a very rich earthy flavor that was very nice.It progressed into a nice balance of woodsy flavors and sweet spice.
The burn was excellent. I happened to be at an event and had to stand on line for about ten minutes at the bar to get a drink and when I was finished the cigar was still lit. This is a great medium to full bodied smoke. Unfortunately the Autumn 2009 Collection is limited but if you can find give them a try. I was very impressed.
Rocky patels are always on my list
Enjoying one right now. Great cigar, especially for the price. Going to run back to the store to pick up another one or two. Hopefully they are not sold out, only a few were left.
You’re a lucky man. If you have a humidor I suggest aging them for at least 90 days around a humidity level of 70%. They will become silky smooth. But congrats on enjoying this phenomenal cigar!
