Rolex Oyster Perpetual Land‑Dweller Watch
Reinventing the present lays foundations for the future. With a caliber at the cutting edge of innovation and a unique design, the Oyster Perpetual Land‑Dweller, launched in 2025, is a true milestone in the history of Rolex watches.
The culmination of over seven years of development, this timepiece has led to 32 patent applications, 18 of which are exclusive to the model. Its movement, with a high frequency of 5 hertz, is fitted with a revolutionary escapement. Its integrated bracelet, which harmoniously extends the case, marks an important aesthetic evolution. The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Land‑Dweller opens new horizons, and with its launch, Rolex begins the next chapter in its history.
To power the Land-Dweller, Rolex has entirely developed and manufactured a new self-winding movement: caliber 7135. Visible through the watch’s sapphire case back, it features some significant innovations. A total of 16 patent applications have been filed for this new movement, particularly in regard to the escapement and the oscillator. With its extraordinary performance, this caliber at the forefront of technology heralds a new era of watchmaking for Rolex.
When bracelet and case become one. In a thoroughly contemporary spirit, the Land‑Dweller’s aesthetic reinterprets the style of watches with integrated bracelets. Explored in 1969 with the Rolex Quartz, then in 1974 on a Datejust with a self-winding mechanical movement, this design presents a fluid, continuous line between case and bracelet.
Specially designed for this watch, the Flat Jubilee bracelet is a reinterpretation of the emblematic Jubilee bracelet. The Flat Jubilee differs in that all the links are flat, and it merges seamlessly with the Oyster case to form a balanced, harmonious whole, with the alternation of polished and technical satin finishings.
Moreover, the top edges of the bracelet’s outer links are bevelled, as are those of the middle case, and the resulting chamfers polished, creating the appearance of a continuous ribbon of light. It is equipped with a concealed folding Crownclasp.
