The Singleton of Glendullan 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky Review
The Singleton of Glendullan 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch was made to engage first time Scotch consumers. It is smooth enough for the novice but it lacks the complexity to impress a true connoisseur.
Nose:
I got a nice array of spice, vanilla and toasted nut aromas – it was very pleasant.
Flavor Profile:
It was smooth and flavorful but lacked depth like The Macallan or Aberfeldy 12 Year Old. I can see why drinkers that are new to scotch would appreciate it more. Not a lot of character here, it is pretty straight forward which is not a bad thing.
Body:
I found this 12 year to have a light to medium body throughout but it was far from being soft. You will definitely have to take your time with it.
Finish:
The finish for me was very creamy and dry with a touch of spice.
Verdict:
The Singleton of Glendullan 12 Year Single Malt Scotch Whisky is something I will definitely pick up in the future. It is well-balanced, smooth and paired up well with my medium bodied Fuente Fuente Forbidden Lancero cigar. Additionally the price is right as you can find this bottle around $45.00 dollars. Cheers!
Editor’s Note: Also available are The Singleton Of Dufftown (medium to full body) and The Singleton Of Glen Ord (mild to medium body).
This sounds really good
It is good, very good. But, I would second the author’s comments about it being more appealing to whisky newcomers. I happen to like the lighter styles (Lowland & some Speyside) so this suits me well. Well-written review. For me, there was a pronounced white wine/Chardonnay nose. I found it to be quite pleasant.

Hey Andy,
Thanks for leaving a comment. I always appreciate hearing from my readers. Do you have any other selections I should try out that are along the same lines of The Macallan or Aberfeldy 12 Year Old? Cheers!
