The Sublime Samana Hotel In the Dominican Republic
Carresing the crystal-clear waters of the Samana Peninsula, The Sublime Samana Hotel is the newest addition to the Dominican Republic. This private and luxurious property opened in early March 2012 and offers guests access to a collection of 20 private suites and casitas nestled on the Dominican Republic’s most dazzling and remote beaches.
The Samana province of the island’s northeastern coast remains one of the most undiscovered, unspoiled natural habitats of the Dominican Republic, and notably the Caribbean as a whole. In a setting surrounded by a backdrop of lush, tropical mountains, guests can enjoy unparalleled seclusion, while swimming through sparkling turquoise waters and relaxing in luxurious shaded sunbeds that virtually hover above the property’s serene pools.
The seven-acre property centers around the expansive canal of pools stretching nearly 500 feet from end-to-end. Rooms have been artfully built to create a contemporary setting in harmony with nature. One- and two-bedroom suites feature a living room, master bedroom and bathroom, guest bathroom, spacious balcony, and kitchen with Viking appliances.
Views from the room are of the canals of streaming pools that line the lush gardens. Even more opulent are the 2- and 3-bedroom villas that feature large bedrooms, indoor and outdoor living spaces, a Jacuzzi and state-of-the-art kitchen with top floor villas featuring a rooftop terrace and plunge pool.
While Sublime Samana is the perfect place to savor authentic tropical paradise, it is just a 10-minute drive to the town of Las Terrenas, where French-inspired restaurants line the plazas with boutique style shops. The smell of fresh-from-the-oven bread will lead the way to local French pastry and coffee shops. There is much to explore for adventure-seekers, including hikes to the nearby waterfalls “El Limon,” and yacht tours to Los Haitises, where several species of birds can be spotted and caves can be explored.
Rates start at $275.00 dollars a night – well worth it for the level of accommodation. Cheers!
