Patek Philippe’s New Blue Aquanaut Is Limited To Just 250 Watches

Getting your hands on a Patek Philippe Aquanaut is difficult enough without the brand limiting production to just 250 examples. Unveiled for Patek Philippe’s Watch Art Grand Exhibition in Milan, the new Patek Philippe Aquanaut 5167A-014 gives the coveted steel sports watch a striking sunburst-blue dial that fades toward black at the edges, punctuated by bright red details.
The Milan release retains the familiar proportions of the Aquanaut Ref. 5167, including its 40.8mm stainless-steel case and automatic movement, but adds enough visual distinction and scarcity to separate it from the standard model. With only 250 pieces being produced, this is not simply another blue-dial addition to the Aquanaut lineup.

The Patek Philippe Aquanaut 5167A-014 Goes Blue for Milan
The biggest change is immediately apparent. Patek Philippe gave the Aquanaut 5167A-014 a sunburst-blue dial that gradually darkens to black around its perimeter. The signature embossed Aquanaut pattern remains, joined by applied white-gold numerals and baton-style hands with white luminescent coating.
The small red details are what keep the design from feeling like a straightforward blue makeover. A red minute scale surrounds the dial, while a red-varnished sweep seconds hand provides another sharp hit of contrast.
A midnight-blue composite strap continues the color story and features the familiar Aquanaut pattern. It is secured by Patek Philippe’s patented steel fold-over clasp. The result still looks unmistakably like an Aquanaut, but the blue, black and red combination gives the Milan edition an identity of its own.

Only 250 Blue Aquanauts Will Be Made
Patek Philippe is producing just 250 examples of the Aquanaut 5167A-014. The watch was created for Watch Art Milan 2026, rather than being introduced as a new permanent color option within the wider Aquanaut collection.
It also arrives alongside several special references associated with the Milan exhibition, spanning everything from Grand Complications to Rare Handcrafts. The Aquanaut, however, offers one of the easiest propositions to understand: one of Patek Philippe’s most recognizable contemporary watches, rendered in an exclusive color combination and produced in extremely limited numbers.
The Milano 2026 Details Continue Around Back
The Milan connection isn’t confined to the dial. Turn the Aquanaut 5167A-014 over and its sapphire-crystal caseback carries the inscription “Patek Philippe Milano 2026.” The transparent back also provides a view of the automatic movement inside.
The 40.8mm stainless-steel case measures just 8.1mm thick and combines polished and satin finishes around the Aquanaut’s rounded octagonal bezel. It features a screw-down crown and is water-resistant to 30 meters. Those dimensions are shared with the standard steel Aquanaut 5167A-001, allowing the limited edition to retain the slim profile that has helped define the reference.
Inside the Aquanaut 5167A-014
Powering the watch is Patek Philippe’s self-winding Caliber 26-330 S C. The movement consists of 207 components and 30 jewels, operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour, or 4Hz, and provides a power reserve ranging from 35 to 45 hours. A 21-karat gold central rotor handles automatic winding.
It also incorporates Patek Philippe’s Gyromax balance and Spiromax balance spring and carries the Patek Philippe Seal. Functionally, things remain simple. The 5167A-014 displays hours and minutes, sweep seconds and the date through an aperture at 3 o’clock. A stop-seconds function allows the seconds hand to be halted when setting the time.

How Much Is the Patek Philippe Aquanaut 5167A-014?
The Patek Philippe Aquanaut 5167A-014 is priced at $43,761 on Patek Philippe’s U.S. website. For context, Patek currently lists the standard stainless-steel Aquanaut 5167A-001 at $27,257. That makes the Milano edition substantially more expensive at retail, although comparing list prices only tells part of the story. With production capped at 250 examples, availability is likely to be a much bigger consideration than the number printed on Patek’s website.
It is also far too early to assign the watch a meaningful secondary-market value. With the reference newly unveiled, there is no established resale market for the 5167A-014 yet.
Can You Actually Buy One?
That’s the more complicated question. What Patek Philippe has confirmed is that the Aquanaut 5167A-014 is a 250-piece limited edition created for Watch Art Milan 2026.
With production that restricted, this is fundamentally different from simply walking into a retailer and ordering a regular-production Aquanaut. Patek has not provided enough public detail on its U.S. product page to make broader claims about exactly how those 250 watches will be allocated. For now, the safest takeaway is also the simplest: there will only ever be 250 of them.

Why This Aquanaut Could Be the Milan Watch People Remember
Patek Philippe doesn’t need to load the Aquanaut 5167A-014 with complications for it to stand out. The formula is unusually straightforward: stainless-steel Aquanaut, blue gradient dial, red accents, Milan provenance and 250 pieces. While some of the manufacture’s most technically ambitious watches require a deeper appreciation of traditional watchmaking to fully understand, the appeal here is immediate. You can see what makes this Aquanaut different before knowing anything about its movement.
For collectors who do know the details, the Milano 2026 caseback and exceptionally small production run provide the rest of the story.
