Davidoff Made Three Different Cigars For Three Of Its Flagship Stores

Davidoff is taking a decidedly local approach to its newest cigar release. Instead of developing one blend for aficionados around the world, the Swiss luxury cigar house created three different cigars for three of its most important flagship stores. The Davidoff Boutique Selection will debut September 1, 2026, exclusively at Davidoff of Geneva since 1911 flagship stores in Geneva, Hong Kong and New York Madison.
Each location will receive its own Toro blend developed in collaboration with the consultants who serve aficionados at that particular boutique. The result is an unusual proposition even within the world of premium cigars. Geneva does not get the same cigar as Hong Kong, and Hong Kong does not get the same cigar as New York. Each Davidoff Boutique Selection blend is intended to reflect the preferences of the clientele who shop at its respective location.

Davidoff Is Making Luxury More Personal
Luxury brands regularly talk about personalization and exclusivity. With the Davidoff Boutique Selection, those concepts become part of the cigar itself. Rather than creating a single blend and distributing it globally, Davidoff worked closely with its flagship store consultants to understand the preferences of aficionados in three different markets. Those insights helped inform three individual blends that will only be available at the locations that inspired them.
The Davidoff Boutique Selection also isn’t a traditional one-and-done limited edition. Davidoff plans to produce the cigars in recurring limited batches, maintaining availability while preserving the exclusivity behind the concept.
Despite their differences, all three cigars start with the same canvas. Each Davidoff Boutique Selection cigar is presented in a 6-inch by 54-ring-gauge Toro format with an estimated enjoyment time of 45 to 60 minutes. Keeping the dimensions consistent allows the individual tobacco compositions and flavor profiles to separate the three editions.

Boutique Selection Genève Goes Earthy And Rich
Created for Davidoff’s Geneva flagship, the Boutique Selection Genève combines four Dominican filler tobaccos sourced from distinct terroirs with a Dominican binder and Ecuadorian wrapper. Davidoff gives the cigar an intensity rating of four out of five and identifies earth, oak wood and leather among its defining aromas.
On paper, Genève carries the most traditionally earthy profile of the three releases. Davidoff says the blend was composed to balance its intensity and aromatic richness with the smoothness associated with the brand.

Hong Kong Emphasizes Creaminess And Elegance
The Boutique Selection Hong Kong heads in a noticeably different direction. Like the Genève edition, its filler combines tobaccos from four Dominican terroirs beneath a Dominican binder and Ecuadorian wrapper. Its stated flavor profile, however, centers on vanilla, brioche and oak wood.
Davidoff rates Hong Kong at three out of five for intensity, making it the least intense of the three Boutique Selection cigars according to the company’s scale. The combination of vanilla and brioche also gives the Hong Kong release perhaps the most immediately approachable description of the collection on paper, while oak wood provides a common thread with its two counterparts.

New York Madison Takes A Woodier Approach
Davidoff also created a distinctive construction for its Madison Avenue clientele. The Boutique Selection New York Madison features Dominican filler tobaccos sourced from three terroirs, an Ecuadorian binder and Dominican wrapper. Davidoff highlights the use of seco and visus leaves within the blend and says the cigar progressively develops throughout the experience.
Its stated aromas include cream, wood and oak wood, while its intensity sits at four out of five. The combination gives New York Madison a richer profile on paper while retaining the refinement expected from a cigar created specifically for Davidoff’s Madison Avenue flagship.
The Davidoff Boutique Selection Packaging Looks Straight From The Factory
Davidoff also found an interesting way to reinforce the Boutique Selection concept through its packaging. Each edition arrives in a 10-count wooden box, but the cigars aren’t individually arranged inside. Instead, all ten are wrapped together as a single bundle, referencing the way cigars are traditionally kept protected immediately following production.
It’s a subtle departure from the increasingly elaborate presentation often associated with luxury releases. Instead of dressing the cigars up like jewelry, Davidoff is borrowing visual language from the factory floor. Each box also features a Certified Boutique Blend icon along with a Limited Batch designation.

Where Can You Buy The Davidoff Boutique Selection?
The exclusivity of the Davidoff Boutique Selection extends beyond production numbers. Each cigar will only be available from the flagship store for which it was created.
Boutique Selection Genève will be exclusive to Davidoff of Geneva since 1911 in Geneva, while Boutique Selection Hong Kong will only be offered through the Hong Kong flagship. Boutique Selection New York Madison will be sold exclusively at Davidoff’s New York Madison location.
All three are scheduled to launch September 1, 2026, although Davidoff notes that exact launch dates and availability can vary depending on the country. Pricing has not yet been announced.
Why Davidoff’s Boutique Strategy Is Worth Watching
The Davidoff Boutique Selection is ultimately about more than producing three new Toro cigars. Luxury companies frequently use words such as personalized, bespoke and exclusive, but Davidoff has made those ideas unusually tangible. An aficionado walking into its Madison Avenue flagship isn’t being offered the same cigar as someone visiting its boutique in Geneva or Hong Kong. The retail location itself becomes part of the product.
There’s also a subtle travel component to the concept. Someone interested in experiencing or collecting all three can’t simply purchase the entire Boutique Selection from one store. Each blend remains tied to the destination and clientele that helped inspire it.
Whether Davidoff eventually extends the concept to more of its boutiques remains to be seen. For now, the Davidoff Boutique Selection gives Geneva, Hong Kong and New York Madison something increasingly rare in global luxury retail: a cigar they can truly call their own.
